The Center specializes in outpatient surgery which does not require an overnight stay. Our highly trained professional staff and physicians utilize advanced technology to perform surgery in this 25,000 sq.ft. modern ambulatory surgery center. The Center has six operating rooms and five procedure rooms.

Stony Point continues the tradition and excellence of the former Richmond Eye & Ear Hospital as the premier eye, ear, nose and throat provider in the region. Stony Point is the primary surgical hospital for the premier Retina Surgical Group in Central Virginia. As a full service outpatient surgical hospital, we offer excellent care in Orthopedics, General and Vascular Surgery, Gynecology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Colon/Rectal Surgery and Podiatry.

Our expertise in Pediatric Surgery is exceptional, providing top notch clinical care in the areas of Pediatric Urology, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Pediatric ENT. Special child-friendly areas await the youngest patients and their families from the waiting room to the recovery room.

Stony Point, in cooperation with its physicians and the VCU Spine Center, offers leading Interventional Spine and Pain Management services to the region.

The Sight Preservation Center is located within Stony Point Surgery Center. Recognized throughout the region for its innovative approach to Low Vision Therapies, the Sight Preservation Center is lead by a specially trained optometrist, who specializes in treating patients with limited vision. Our occupational therapist is skilled at teaching patients techniques, adaptations and the skills needed to use visual assistance devices to maximize the use of the patient’s remaining limited vision.

Adjacent to the Surgery Center is the Stony Point Optical Shop, featuring practical and designer eye ware, sunglasses and safety lenses, top quality prescription lenses and eye ware for all ages – all are fitted by the registered optician.
