While continuing to improve and stay current on advanced medical technology, Stony Point Surgery Center has earned the reputation of the preferred site for elective surgical procedures among surgeons and patients alike because of our efficiency, continued high scores in patient safety, 99 percent patient satisfaction and our incredibly low post-operative infection rate (0.00007%).

Stony Point Surgery Center is also home to the Sight Preservation Center at Stony Point, Central Virginia's only full-time low vision rehabilitation center. Our clinical team, consisting of a licensed Occupational Therapist and a Johns-Hopkins low vision fellowship trained Optometrist will assess your level of functional vision and teach you how to use your remaining low vision more effectively. There is no better team than this in the region!

Stony Point Surgery Center (SPSC) is a joint venture between Richmond Eye & Ear Healthcare Alliance, Inc. (formerly Richmond Eye & Ear Hospital) and many of the physicians who practice at SPSC. Through a physician's ownership in SPSC he/she has direct input into the quality of care, quality of services, staff and operations. Physician owners pay particular attention to these issues because SPSC is a direct reflection upon them. Not all physicians who practice at SPSC are physician owners. Stony Point Surgery Center is governed by a six member Board of Managers, licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Outpatient Surgical Hospital and is Accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc.
