Dr. Edwin Wortham, MD - Pediatric Opthalmologist Richmond, VADr. Couser joined Dr. Wortham at the Virginia Pediatric Ophthalmology Specialists practice in 2011. A pediatric eye care specialist, Dr. Couser completed his medical education and internship in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia/VCU School of Medicine. Things to Look for in your Child
  • Any type of eye crossing, which is a signal of misalignment of the eyes
  • Changes to your child's normal patterns - if they have to sit closer to the television to see, if their teacher says they need to sit in front of the classroom to see, etc.
  • If you notice your child squinting their eyes to see
  • Abnoral reflexes of the eyes
