Dr. Cerniglia specializes in enuresis, urinary tract infections.
EDUCATION
Dr. Cerniglia completed his medical education and residency training at Louisiana State University and Charity Hospital in New Orleans, followed by a fellowship in pediatric urology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s hospital in Houston TX.
EXPERIENCE
Dr. Cerniglia served as Director of Pediatric Urology at Tulane University School of Medicine from 1988 – 1991. He was also an Assistant Professor of Urology and Pediatrics at Louisiana State University and Tulane. From 1991 -1998 he was Chief of Pediatric Urology at The Ochsner Clinic before becoming Director of Pediatric Urology at the Urologic Institute of New Orleans. Following hurricane Katrina, he moved with his family to Richmond and helped found the practice of Children’s Urology of Virginia.
PRACTICE
Dr. Cerniglia’s practice focuses on all aspects of Pediatric Urology, with a special interest in enuresis, urinary tract infections, voiding dysfunction, urodynamics and Spina Bifida.
