Stony Point Surgery Center (SPSC) is a joint venture between Richmond Eye & Ear Healthcare Alliance, Inc. (formerly Richmond Eye & Ear Hospital) and many of the physicians who practice at SPSC. Through a physician’s ownership in SPSC he/she has direct input into the quality of care, quality of services, staff and operations. Physician owners pay particular attention to these issues because SPSC is a direct reflection upon them. Not all physicians who practice at SPSC are physician owners. Stony Point Surgery Center is governed by a six member Board of Managers, licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Outpatient Surgical Hospital and is Accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc.
