Education

Dr. Evan Reiter completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University.  After completing a one-year National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Reiter entered the Harvard Medical School - Massachusetts Institute of Technology Division of Health Sciences and Technology, from which he received his M.D. degree cum laude.  He then completed his internship year in general surgery at the New England Deaconess Hospital, followed by his residency at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary - Harvard Training Program in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

Experience

Dr. Reiter joined the faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery of Virginia  Commonwealth University as Assistant Professor in 1998, and earned the rank of Associate Professor in 2004.  He has served as Residency Program Director of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery since 2002.

Personal Profile

His clinical and research interests include obstructive sleep apnea, head and neck oncology, disorders of smell and taste, and sinus and nasal disease.  Dr. Reiter is atively involved in the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center Head and Neck Tumor Clinic and Smell and Taste Center.
