Education
Dr. Lipstock received his Medical Degree in 1981 at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
Nassau County Medical Center Internship in Internal Medicine, 1981-1982 Medical College of Virginia, Residency in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Lipstock has the very unique distinction of being trained abroad in LASIK by Dr. Luis A. Ruiz M.D., the inventor of the microkeratome that made LASIK possible.
Experience
Dr. Lipstock went on with Dr. Ruiz to found the International Center of Refractive Surgery where they trained surgeons from across the United States in advanced LASIK techniques. The years spent learning and teaching with Dr. Ruiz, have provided Dr. Lipstock with an in-depth knowledge of the LASIK procedure and a masterful surgical technique. Dr. Lipstock has performed thousands of LASIK procedures. He was the 1st LASIK surgeon to perform in Virginia. Dr. Lipstock was also the regions 1st Intralase provider. Dr. Lipstock is also an accomplished Cataract Surgeon. He is one of the only surgeons in Central Virginia to routinely perform advanced technique known as No Needle—No Stitch—No Patch Cataract Surgery. Thus, adding safety and convenience for the patient.
Practice
Dr. Lipstock specializes in LASIK, Cataract Surgery, and General Ophthalmology. He utilizes Intralase, the most advanced form of LASIK which is blade-free. Dr. Lipstock also cares for many patients with Glaucoma.
Personal Profile
Dr. Lipstock was born in Long Island, New York and has resided in Richmond, Virginia for 30 years with his wife Joan. They have three boys ages 21 to 28. They all enjoy many outdoor activities. The Lipstock Family is also involved in activities that foster the education and social support of autistic children and young adults.
