Timothy Zimmer, M.D.
Education
Dr. Zimmer is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his Residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. He is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon as well as an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Experience
Dr. Zimmer arrived in Richmond, Virginia, in 1988 and began his private practice of foot and ankle orthopedics.
Practice
In 1999 Dr. Zimmer left a large group practice and formed Commonwealth Orthopaedic Specialist, Inc., a solo practice dedicated to foot and ankle disorders. His practice offers a special personal touch that can only be found in a small practice. Office hours range from 7 AM until 4 PM. We have in house x-ray equipment for your convenience. Most surgeries can be performed in the surgery center located downstairs.
Personal Profile
Dr. Zimmer lives in Richmond with his wife Kim and son Daniel a D.S Freeman High School student. His daughter Meredith attends the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and his daughter Bonnie attends the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. His outside interests include tennis and golf.
