William R. Timmerman, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Education

William R. Timmerman, M.D., F.A.C.S., received his undergraduate degree from the South Dakota State University and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at Hennepin County Medical Center, followed by a Colon and Rectal Fellowship at Presbyterian / Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Experience

Dr. Timmerman is board-certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

Practice

Dr. Timmerman has been with Colon and Rectal Specialists since 1997.  Established in 1913, Colon and Rectal Specialists is one of the oldest continually operating groups of colon and rectal surgeons in the country. The physicians and staff of Colon & Rectal Specialists are committed to providing to all patients the special care and education that is needed for the treatment of colon and rectal problems.

Personal Profile

When not working, Dr. Timmerman's main hobby (and vice) is racing Porsches. In the fall, hunting ducks and upland game birds in his native Midwest is also on the agenda.
