Dr. McGroarty is part of a highly expert and practiced team of physicians and nurses skilled not just in colon cancer surveillance and treatment but in the management of all aspects of colonic disease including all types of colitis (infectious, inflammatory or diverticular) as well as the very troubling symptoms of irritable bowel disease.

He received his postdoctoral training in Internal medicine and Gastroenterology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia. He then had the good fortune to start his GI practice in Richmond.
