VCU Health Pelvic Health

VCU Health Pelvic Health at Stony Point is Virginia’s only multidisciplinary program for the care of pelvic health conditions. These may result from the stress of childbirth, menopause, genetics or aging. Many of the associated symptoms can be confusing to patients, since the pelvic organs are so closely related both in their location and function.

By coordinating across disciplines from your first appointment, our team can provide a breadth of treatment options, ranging from conservative lifestyle changes and physical therapy to medications, office procedures and surgeries. With our integrated approach, you’ll find that our providers work together daily to co-manage your case, so you get the best care with the right specialists involved.

Our Pelvic Health providers have the proven knowledge and experience to ask the right questions and conduct the right diagnostic exams and tests to decipher your symptoms, no matter how complex. Once they understand your case and have an informed diagnosis, our medical team develops a holistic treatment plan. Treatment plans include surgery, physical therapy, medicine, or a combination of tools, featuring a minimally invasive approach.
