In Vitro Fertilization

Intrauterine Insemination

Intrauterine Insemination, also known as artificial insemination, is a fertility procedure where a sperm sample is washed, concentrated and fast-moving sperm are placed directly into the woman’s uterus at the time of ovulation. Fertility medications are given during an IUI cycle. They are used to induce ovulation and stimulate development of multiple eggs.

Laparoscopic Surgery

Under general anesthesia, a small camera is inserted through tiny incisions (<1.0cm) made in the abdomen, to visualize the reproductive organs. This is useful to detect endometriosis and pelvic adhesions, which can only be detected through visualization. It can also detect abnormalities in the fallopian tubes, ovaries and uterus
